Early Life
Born in Fontana, CA., Randy is second of five born to Richard and Vivien Myrick. Raised in the Napa Valley and Clearlake, CA. before moving to Coos Bay, OR. for his last year of High School.
 
Education
He graduated from High School in Coos Bay Oregon. Received his Bachelor of Science in Vocational Education Studies from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. After some time in the U.S. Navy, he also received his Master’s in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix.
 
Professional Journey
After graduating from High School in 1980, he joined the US Navy and went to enlisted boot camp in San Diego, CA. After electronics technical schools and submarine training, he served as a Fire Control Technician (Guns) and worked with the weapon systems on two nuclear powered submarines: USS Thomas Jefferson (SSN 618) in Charleston, SC. and USS Sam Houston (SSN 609) in Pearl Harbor, HI. from 1980 to 1990. He was accepted into Aviation Officers Candidate School (AOCS) in Pensacola, FL. and graduated as an Ensign (O1). In November of 1992 he graduated from Intelligence Officer Basic Course at the Naval Marine Corps Intelligence Training Command, Dam Neck, VA. From 1992 – 1995 he was the Intelligence Division Officer with the Fighting Checkmates of Fighter Squadron 211 (VF-211) at NAS Miramar. In 1993 he completed a deployment to the Western Pacific-Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea as the Tactical Aerial Reconnaissance Pod System (TARPS) Intelligence Officer. From 1995 – 1997 he served as the Intelligence Department Head for Commander, Special Boat Squadron One. He deployed as the Naval Unconventional Warfare Task Unit Intelligence Officer at Pohang, South Korea during Exercise Foal Eagle. He also deployed as the CTF (Special Ops) J2 on board the USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) off the coast of South Korea in Exercise Ulchi Focus Lens. From 1997-2000 he was assigned to Joint Intelligence Training Activity Pacific (JITAP) as a Joint Task Force Intelligence Curriculum Instructor, Senior Watch Officer, Fundamentals of Instruction Curriculum (FOIC) Coordinator, Joint Theory Branch Master Training Specialist mentor, and JITAP Training Coordinator. And in 2000, served as the Joint Theory Branch Department Head. December 2000, he retired from the US Navy after 20 years of honorable service.

Personal Life
He is married to former Cheryl White of San Bernadino on 17 March 1995 in the NAS Miramar Chapel. They have a son (Westley), two daughters (Jessica and Alexis) and three grandchildren. Outside of work, he enjoyed running, mountain biking, volleyball, SCUBA diving, computers, and serving in the Boy Scouts and Royal Rangers. He enjoyed pursuing hobbies such as jigsaw puzzles, traveling, and engaging in community service through the Rock Church and VFW.

Throughout military career he received Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and numerous campaign and service awards. His legacy is defined by a commitment to excellence, positive impact on others, and a relentless pursuit of personal and communal betterment.
